Dian Mak – Pantai Mutiara Sport Club

we met Dian and her beloved Mom about 2 weeks prior the D Day, and she just made us so shocked yet excited. She wanted to throw a beach party like no one else ever did in combination with unbelievable lighting decoration and thousand glow in the dark item. Yeah we absolutely so sure we could make that happen, but guess what? Dunno why we really had a huge trouble in finding the venuw, problems are everywhere and at the last minute we got this Pantai Mutiara Sport Club in lee than 1 week for her birthday!

Oh yeah, She has made us turned upside down to make everything possible. we worked 24 hours for the last three days and we made no excuse for ourselves to make her party become less than perfect!

” In the past I’ve always done simple dinners for my birthdays. However, this year I wanted to do a big Sweet Seventeen because this birthday would be the last one I spend in Jakarta before flying to the States for University. It was my last chance to gather all my high school friends before we all spread around the globe, my last chance to throw a huge party like this for them because extravagant parties wouldn’t be appropriate again probably until I’m fifty. I was very unsure whether I wanted to celebrate my birthday at first, but in the end I knew I would regret it if I didn’t.

The planning started about two weeks before the event itself and it was insanely hectic. I wanted to do something different than the conventional ballroom/restaurant Sweet Seventeen. I wanted to do a beach party with a glow in the dark theme and I demanded so much from my EOs because I wanted to give my guests an experience they would remember.

There were many roadblocks and last minute complications regarding venue, catering and everything but in the end we pulled through. I’m very thankful to my mother who has thrown herself into planning my party, to Chic and Click for doing an amazing job with the decor and being so cooperative and also to my best friends for helping me get through all the stress. Last but not least, I’m so grateful to Erwin and his team for doing such an awesome job documenting my special day.
